East in the West

Saturday afternoon at the Kyoto Garden in Holland Park, West London. M was practising for Japan, I was there for the sunshine, the ice-cream and to oggle the massive fish.

  4. We have a Kyoto park (Kyoto Gardens, actually) here in Chicago and I've never even been! I'm wondering if it's as lovely as yours, in which case, perhaps I'll visit this weekend :)

  6. Oh I've never heard of that garden... I adore Japan so any bit of it that's easier to get to is good for me! Lovely pics :)

  7. What a beautiful garden, and the fish are impressive. However, that ice cream looks extremely tempting.

  10. Thank you for reminding me that I still haven't been to Holland Park yet. I am a rubbish Londoner really. ;-)

  11. @ Lisa-Marie - it's very pretty but quite small, so I'd say worth a visit if you are in the area anyway, but maybe not a complete detour. Though West London has some very beautiful parts so maybe worth the time. Give us a shout if you need any other London recommendations, I don't claim to know it all but can definitely throw some ideas your way!
