San Gimignano

Towers and aged stone. A brief rainstorm, followed by hot afternoon sun. A gelateria that had supplied to past Prime Ministers - raspberry and rosemary sorbet, delicious. Overpriced espresso in the main square, bruschetta eaten on a terrace overlooking Tuscan countryside. An archaeological museum combined with an art gallery, no translations for the exhibits, fascinating all the same. Fast moving lizards beneath the olive trees in the grounds of the old fort.

  5. I would love to go here - never made it when I was in Tuscany. The tomatoes on that bruschetta look divine!

  6. It looks wonderful. I love the way old buildings look haphazard, but have been and will be there for centuries!
