Down at the Farm
A trip south today to Mudchute City Farm on the Isle of Dogs. Greenery and calm under grey skies, to the backdrop of Canary Wharf and London's financial district. Lunch and a hot chocolate as the heaven's opened briefly, then outside to walk round the nature trail and coo at goats and donkeys and a couple of rather large pigs in the farmyard area. M tells me that my overly hyper enthusiasm for the baby animals is like a twelve year old's. Well, what's wrong with that?

Oh that pig looks very friendly and a gorgeous colour! Was it a Tamworth?
ReplyDeleteLove spending time on a farm.

I live really close to mudchute and had no idea there is a farm there, I'll have to go have a look, thanks.

ReplyDeleteOh wow, that picture of the goat pulling the other goat's ear is amazing!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos - you are the second person i've read about going to Mudchute this weekend, it sounds like the place to be. And I think the enthusiasm of a 12 year old was the only sensible way to react - those goats are so sweet!
ReplyDeleteA ginger pig! How sweet!
ReplyDeleteThose goats! Paroxysms of cuteness! Also, how amazing to have a farm in the middle of the city - I must check it out next time I'm in town.
